Health officials have confirmed another case of whooping cough on the Big Island, and they say it is unrelated to other recent cases.
The Health Ministry doesn't plan to buy vaccines against the disease.
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reports the new case is unrelated to the 10 previously reported cases since March. Several of the cases have been in infants too young to be fully vaccinated.
