Redundancies set to take place in Nokia's French arm.
Rumors circulate in social media about Nokia working on mid-range devices powered by Snapdragon 690 after HMD Global's Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas tweeted on June 19, to a congratulate Qualcomm after it launched the chipset.
HMD announced the Nokia 8.3 5G back in March as the company’s first 5G phone. Since then, we’ve seen the phone go on pre-order in the UK but with little to no info on its actual release date an availability. Now, another retailer in Switzerland has joined in and revealed that the phone will go on sale in the country on September 15. Pricing is not specified however but the phone will be offered in the Polar Night color.
Singapore is the latest country to leave Huawei with a limited role in the development of 5G networks.
