'There was a lot of black smoke': Crane operator sounds alarm while trapped during highrise fire in Halifax

CTV News Atlantic— A tower crane operator alerted emergency crews after noticing a fire on a construction site in Halifax Tuesday morning.

Reading Eagle—Sound the Alarm event aims to install 300 smoke alarms in northwest Reading homes. Volunteers and members of the Red Cross teamed with community partners to install at least 300 smoke alarms in approximately 100 city homes.

Cornwall Live—Fire breaks out in Longdowns as black smoke is seen for miles. A fire broke out close to the A394 near Penryn this morning, Wednesday, April 24. A witness said that the blaze was close to the Kernow Adventure Park in the village of Longdowns.
