Southwest Airlines to stop Bush Intercontinental flights amid first quarter losses

Houston Public Media— Southwest plans to stop flying to Cozumel, Mexico; Syracuse, New York; Bellingham, Washington; and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, where the airline’s major operation is at smaller Hobby Airport. American Airlines also posted losses in the first quarter.

Houston Public Media—Despite Southwest Airlines leaving Bush Intercontinental Airport, officials believe traveling won’t slow down in Houston. Houston airports are receiving record number of travelers coming to the area, and airport officials don't anticipate that changing any time soon.
