Three adults and an infant were displaced after fire destroyed the building that house their apartment in Dedham.
"So many of us spend so much time here, we sleep here, its practically home, so we all feel the same way someone does when there is a fire in their home," said Kevin Yerger, chief of the Goodwill Fire Company.
When they arrived at the scene, crews found heavy smoke conditions and 25 rows of stacked pallets consumed by fire.
A fire that destroyed a La Pine detached garage-shop Monday afternoon spread to a nearby home, as well as several vehicles, trees and brush before crews were able to stop its spread. Three dogs perished in the house fire, while one escaped unhurt, officials said.
