Sunshine and mild temperatures herald blossoming of new season
England and Wales are enjoying temperatures on a par with Malaga and Barcelona this week with Suffolk recording 65.1F (18.4C) which was even above the average maximum for May.
The last time temperatures got above 64F (18C) was on November 9 when Gogerddan enjoyed a balmy 64F (18C) - meaning Saturday is set to be Britain's warmest day in 103 days.
The South East will enjoy the best of the conditions with wall-to-wall sunshine tomorrow and Sunday, although temperatures are set to drop below freezing in places with a frosty start on both days.
