North Country Residents can view flying cars, robots and other futuristic concepts this month thanks to the work of some young artists in Plattsburgh. At the Strand Center for the Arts kids ages 5 through 18 showcase their visions of Plattsburgh a century from now, in the year 2124. An artist places a wooden cross on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus in tribute to 3 migrants who in recent months have lost their lives crossing the Northern Border. The cross is one of nearly 1,600 that Alvaro Enciso has placed across the United States in memory of migrants who have died while attempting to cross both the Northern and Southern Borders.
