Workers demand wage hike anew

The Philippine Star— With just a few days before Labor Day, hundreds of workers from trade unions yesterday gathered to form stronger ties and demand a legislated wage increase.

The Philippine Star—Government workers call for regularization, wage hike. Public employees have decried the extended employment of job order and contract service workers in government, saying that it prolonged the exploitation of contractual workers.

The Philippine Star—DOLE assures workers of pay hike after wage review. Following President Marcos’ order for a review of minimum wage rates nationwide, the Department of Labor and Employment yesterday assured workers that pay hikes are coming soon.

The Philippine Star—Wage boards working on pay hike petitions’. The different Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards have started the review of existing minimum wage rates in their respective regions, according to Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma.
