Texas Panhandle drought worsens as East Texas flooding continues

MYHIGHPLAINS— The TDB on Monday reported that the overall area of the state impacted by drought conditions decreased for the first time in 11 weeks. However, that overall decrease was due to recent rains falling in areas that were out of drought, and even contributed to flooding in parts of the state.

MYHIGHPLAINS—Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle receives grant from Texas Bar Foundation to support pro bono legal services. The Texas Bar Foundation awarded a $12,000 grant to Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle to support the provision of pro bono legal services to legal immigrants and refugees in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle.
