The man accused of shooting and killing two people in Lansing faced a judge Thursday morning. Dennis Whaley, 51, faces two counts of open murder and four firearms charges and is being held without bond for the shooting deaths of Jason McKenzie, 50 and Christine Cambric, 53.
One of the suspects in the case revolving around the suicide drug X died before the ruling, his lawyer Alexander Admiraal confirmed to RTL Boulevard. According to the lawyer, 80-year-old Loek de L. died of natural causes. The man’s death puts an end to the criminal case against him. The case against the other six suspects, accused of assisted suicide by providing the suicide drug, continues.
