WANE 15— South Whitley officials issued a statement Tuesday giving more insight into the firing of a police officer involved in a controversial traffic stop back in January.

@GreeleyTribune—Police say man kicked, choked officer before officer fired shot following traffic stop in east Greeley. Police say 23-year-old Giovanni Pacheco kicked and chocked an officer before the officer fired a shot at Pacheco following a Sunday afternoon traffic stop in east Greeley. Pacheco was taken to a hospital to treat minor injuries, then booked in to the Weld County Jail.
