A springtime storm system that will exit the Rockies and develop over the Plains during the workweek will trigger numerous showers and thunderstorms. Thursday’s severe weather threat zone will be centered over Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. On Friday, threats for hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are expected to be centered over Iowa, Missouri and Illinois.
Some southern suburbs and parts of northwest Indiana could be at risk of severe weather on Thursday afternoon and into the evening hours, with damaging winds possible.
