The United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting Sunday to discuss Iran’s attack on Israel. The meeting ended without any action by the council.
NBC News’ Josh Lederman reports that the unanimous response from European nations is to condemn the Iranian strike and to urge Iran to de-escalate. Israel has formerly requested that the U.N. Security Council meet to discuss and respond to the strike.
Some council members are still concerned the committee takes away from the power voters gave them. An unofficial draft of rules was available for the public to see during the first committee meeting.
