San Antonio residents took on more personal debt in the first quarter

San Antonio Current— Faced with continued inflation pressures, San Antonians took on a greater debt load in the first quarter of the year, according to a new study from personal finance site WalletHub. Alamo City residents' average unsecured personal load debt increased 8.32% over the same quarter of 2023, hitting $6,249.

San Antonio Current—Bluefin Sushi & Ramen opens first San Antonio location at The Rim. The Bluefin Sushi & Ramen has opened a restaurant in Northwest San Antonio shopping complex The Rim, the chain's first excursion outside its Austin-area home base. The Alamo City location, 17711 W IH10 Suite 104, began serving on Friday, May 10, according a company Facebook post that was otherwise short on details. The spot's service hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.

On a busy weekday afternoon, the new multi-concept gourmet market was a riot for the senses. A whole-animal butcher, a sourdough bakery, a fresh tortilleria and a ceviche counter served up deliciously scented artisan eats while shoppers perused colorful produce and pantry wares from Texas purveyors.

San Antonio Current—Medical cannabis vendor Goodblend opens first San Antonio pickup location. Austin-based Goodblend, one of three suppliers approved under Texas' limited medical marijuana program, on Tuesday opened its first permanent San Antonio pickup location. The Goodblent storefront at 18720 Stone Oak Parkway will allow qualifying patients who place online orders for the prescriptions to pick them up the following day. Prior to the opening, patients had to schedule pickups around timed deliveries to a partner medical office in the Alamo City.
