Salmon Raised in Pens in Lake Champlain

Mountain Lake PBS— A pilot program using protected pens in Lake Champlain will raise small Atlantic Salmon over the next few weeks that will be released into the lake in the hopes that they will return there and the near-by Saranac River to spawn in future years. The experimental program is designed to help boost the salmon population in the Saranac River.
