Rules for the Proposition A committee still in the works after Houston City Council’s first meeting

Houston Public Media— Some council members are still concerned the committee takes away from the power voters gave them. An unofficial draft of rules was available for the public to see during the first committee meeting.

Houston Public Media—Houston City Council to have its first Proposition A committee meeting Tuesday. The proposition gives three or more council members the power to bring an item to the agenda. Before it was passed, only the mayor could bring items to the agenda.
