Caviness won two games last weekend and earned a save in the third as UNC swept Big Sky opponent Weber State April 12-13 at Gloria Rodriguez Field. Caviness had a 0.53 earned run average and struck out 11 with one walk in 13 innings against the Wildcats.
UNC outscored the Wildcats 20-3 in the three games Friday and Saturday, and jumped to first place in the Big Sky Conference with a sweep of a conference opponent for the second straight weekend.
“I think the guys are buying into the culture,” Hadley said. “You’re starting to see it become more and more player driven. We’re not there yet, you know. But I think guys are catching the vision that coach has laid out.”
