NHL approves Coyotes sale, relocation to Salt Lake City

ESPN— The NHL, having lost patience in Arizona's ability to find a long-term home for the Coyotes, has approved the sale of the team and a move to Salt Lake City.

NBC4 Washington—Coyotes officially leaving Arizona for Salt Lake City following approval of sale. Utah Jazz owners Ryan and Ashley Smith officially bought the franchise, but the deal states that Arizona will get an expansion team if a new arena is built in the next five years.
