Man charged with murdering Marine outside Boston bar to plead guilty, DA says

WCVB— The defendant, a former bouncer at the Sons of Boston bar, stands accused of fatally stabbing a 23-year-old Marine from Chicago over two years ago.

Houston Public Media—Man originally charged in Houston shooting death of 9-year-old Arlene Alvarez indicted for murder, DA says. Tony Earls Jr., 33, is accused of firing multiple gunshots into a pickup truck Alvarez was riding in after he had been robbed at a southeast Houston bank. Earls was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the immediate aftermath of the shooting but subsequently no-billed by a grand jury. Another grand jury indicted him on a murder charge this week, based on new evidence.
