Legislative panels will consider restoring some Mississippians’ voting rights

Mississippi Today— The House earlier had passed a bill that would automatically restore suffrage to people convicted of nonviolent felonies, but it died in Senate committee without a vote.

Mississippi Today—Senate votes to restore voting rights to four people previously convicted of disenfranchising felonies. The House has 27 suffrage bills pending a vote in the full chamber.
