Crain's Cleveland Business— Lakewood's El Carnicero is ceasing operations following the close of business on Sunday, May 5, according to a social media announcement.

Cleveland.com—El Carnicero to close restaurant following Cinco de Mayo after 11 years in Lakewood. After 11 years of business, El Carnicero will close for business after one final Cinco de Mayo celebration this year. The owner and chef of the Lakewood restaurant posted the news on April 19.
