'I'm not willing to give up yet': Florida abortion clinic owner vows to stay open despite 6-week-ban

KIFI— By Angela Rozier Click here for updates on this story FORT PIERCE, Florida (WPBF) — The phones at “A Woman’s World Medical Center” in Fort Pierce continue to ring even though the abortion law in the state of Florida has changed. Florida’s ban on most abortions after six weeks of pregnancy is now in effect.

WRIC—Opposing organizations speak on Florida women traveling to Virginia after 6-week abortion ban. According to data from the Virginia League of Planned Parenthood (VLPP), out-of-state abortion patients made up 2% of the total patient population in the Commonwealth in 2022. On April 30, that number grew to 20% of VLPP abortion patients and on May 1, the number went up to 30%.
