Eastern New Mexico University, local music venues to host weekend live music concerts

MYHIGHPLAINS— Eastern New Mexico University invited community members to a weekend of live music featuring local artists that will run from Wednesday to Saturday in affiliation with various local music venues throughout Portales.
The Hollywood Reporter—Universal Music Group and TikTok Strike New Music Licensing Agreement. The two companies had been at loggerheads over royalties paid out by TikTok, with UMG pulling the music of artists such as Drake, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga from the social media platform.

The New Mexico School Superintendent Association along with multiple schools and their superintendents have filed a lawsuit in Curry County against the New Mexico Public Education Department in regard to the departments implementation of its new administrative rule, School Instructional Time Requirements.
Music Business Worldwide—Universal Music and TikTok strike new licensing deal. The announcement brings to an end a long-running licensing dispute between the two companies.
