WRIC— The Colonial Heights Police Department is investigating the death of a woman who was found dead with a gunshot wound in the Appomattox River on April 18 as a homicide.

Authorities in Colonial Heights are conducting a homicide investigation after a woman, now identified as 36-year-old Cynthia Chantè Solomon, was found dead with a gunshot wound at Roslyn Landing Park last week.
