People are looking for ways to stay safe when storms hit after earlier this month, 20 confirmed tornados touched down in the Tennessee Valley, destroying homes and uprooting trees.
Sometime after midnight, a severe thunderstorm produced a tornado in Garland County that uprooted trees and damaged several properties in Lake Hamilton and Hot Springs.
More active weather is pegged for the Plains later this evening. A storm system will track across the state and the better line-up for any storms will be near and north of I-70 with a higher uptick from Northwest Kansas into Southwest Nebraska. There will not be many severe storms but one or two could contain all hazards from large hail to damaging winds with the possibility of a tornado or two.
