RedState— On Wednesday, the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas ended not with a bang but with a whimper, when the Senate under Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) dismissed both impeachment articles without a trial. Sen. Schumer stated that the House of Representatives had sent to the Senate “the least legitimate, least substantive and most politicized impeachment trial ever in the history of the United States.” Oh, the irony!
