• Major Water Break Affects Service Throughout Much Of City In Westchester

    Officials are warning residents that they may encounter brown water following a major water main break that affected service throughout an entire city in Westchester.  The water break happened in the downtown area of White Plains on Wednesday, March 27 around 11:30 a.m., according to White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach.  The large break affected water service for residents throughout the city.     David Neal lives on Reo Rd. in the city, he said issues started popping up last year once he noticed a cloudy, brown shade of water coming from his faucets. Shortly following, he claimed his water heater started making weird noise which needed to be replaced entirely, and found that his shower tub was corroding due to the water.
