The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, ceremonially kicked off construction for the Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program’s Starved Rock Breakwater Project with a groundbreaking ceremony held at the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center in mid-February.
The goal of the project is to beautify the pedestrian overcrossing on Highway 156 at Geil Street.
The new 24-hour Urgent Care Centre will provide services including injury care, treatment for minor ailments, on-site basic diagnostic imaging and laboratory services, and mental health and addictions services.
