The Headrow Shopping Centre opened in 1987 on the site of the former Schofields department store and was originally named the Schofields Centre. It boasted three levels of shops as well as a food court and cafe all connected by escalators and a glass lift. Officers investigating an assault on Briggate earlier this year have released images of two men they would like to identify. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, March 3, and a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries.
